"barakat optical" was established in Riyadh, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in 1980. Currently operating from a choice of locations throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia including Riyadh, Jeddah, Makkah, Dammam, Khobar and Khamis Mushyt. "barakat optical" is by all means one of the largest chain of optical showrooms in the GCC.  In the early 90’s the company formed a successful partnership with Siemens Audiology to operate Siemens Hearing Care centers as a division of “barakat optical”.  And a new concept of “Eye care & Hearing care” known thereafter as “Sight & Sound” was introduced successfully in the Saudi market. After this remarkable success, “barakat optical” decided to develop a regional presence and expand in the GCC market. As a result of this vision “barakat optical”/Siemens Hearing Care was established in Dubai in 2001.  Again, the concept of “Sight & Sound” was introduced for the first time at this level in U.A.E.  The hearing Care division is for the first time, supervised directly by Siemens Audiology, Erlangen, Germany. Presently operating from 9 different locations in UAE, "barakat optical" is acquiring new locations and opening new showrooms with an aim to operate from 200 different locations through out the GCC within few years.
